The Bronx community came together on July 6, 2023 at an event organized by Pastor John of Word of Life Church and led by The Bronx Community Foundation. During this meeting, the most pressing problems affecting the Bronx were addressed, with the objective of seeking solutions and improvements for our community.

One of the highlights of the event was the participation of Casa Yurumein, our organization committed to promoting culture and the importance of education. Our partner Karen Blanco had the opportunity to speak about our rich culture and highlight the need for inclusive and quality education for all Bronx residents.

In addition, Selina Guevarra, representative of our organization, shared the importance of having programs designed specifically for young people. Recognizing the potential and energy of the youth in our community, he emphasized the need to provide them with opportunities for their personal, academic and professional development.

The meeting was attended by various political actors, organizations and members of the community. The presence of these committed individuals demonstrates the importance given to the problems affecting the Bronx and the determination to find effective solutions.

As a community, it is vital to voice our concerns and aspirations to shape the future of the Bronx. We would like to know what are the most pressing issues you face in your neighborhood and what kind of programs and services you would like to see more of. Your feedback is critical to guide our efforts and ensure that we are working toward an ideal Bronx.
